As a producer, when choosing to take on a project, I am very interested in not only what we’re making, but why we are telling these stories and who they’re for. Helping films find their intended audiences and even beyond them is a big thing for me. When it comes to Asian representation in the media and all representation in general, I am really passionate about opening people’s perspectives to others of different backgrounds than their own to see our common humanity and inspire humility, understanding, and empathy. I think film is an incredibly powerful medium and in whatever way I choose to be a part of it, I want to help cultivate a healthy, loving workspace for my team which I hope will show through our work. Bringing people together is one of the things that I love most, and I’m honored to be a part of so many projects with filmmakers who are just as passionate and hard-working as I hope to be.
